Japanese Fruit Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
3 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. milk
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar.
Add eggs, beating well after each addition.
Sift dry ingredients together and add alternately with milk to first mixture.
Cream well.
Add vanilla.
Divide batter in half.
Add the following to one-half:
1 teaspoon of cinnamon, 1 teaspoon allspice, 1/2 cloves and 1/4 pound raisins.
