Microwaved Stuffed Peppers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 green peppers, seeded
    3/4 lb. ground beef
    1 c. quick rice
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/4 tsp. garlic powder
    8 oz. tomato sauce
    5 slices sharp cheese
Preparation
    Combine beef, rice, onion and seasonings.
    Fill peppers; place in a 10-inch microwave pie plate.
    Pour tomato sauce over.
    Cover with plastic wrap.
    Cook on High for 20 to 22 minutes or until peppers are tender and meat is no longer red.
    Remove plastic; top with cheese slices.
    Re-cover and let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
