Apple Butter - cooking recipe
Ingredients

16 c. ground apple pulp
3 c. dark brown sugar
5 c. white sugar
1/2 tsp. cloves
4 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. vinegar
Preparation

Mix all ingredients in roaster.
Bake for 4 hours (more or less, depending on apple pulp thickness) at 300\u00b0 to 325\u00b0.
Stir every 15 minutes.
Put clean jars and lids into boiling water to sterilize.
Fill hot jars with apple butter.
Wipe off tops with clean cloth.
Put on hot lids and turn rings tight.
(Use hot pads.)
Let set undisturbed to cool.
Makes about 1/2 pint for each cup of apples.
