Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
    2 stalks celery, sliced
    1 large carrot, diced
    1 small onion, chopped
Preparation
    Saute in 1/4 cup butter, stirring often, for about 10 to 15 minutes.
    Add just enough water to cover vegetables.
    Cook until tender.
    Add 2 tablespoons cornstarch with 2 cups milk (cold). Add to vegetables, stirring slowly.
    Salt and pepper to taste.
