Irish Soda Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. sifted flour
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1 1/2 c. raisins
1 3/4 to 2 c. buttermilk
2 Tbsp. melted shortening
2/3 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
2 beaten eggs
Preparation

Sift flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
Stir in raisins.
In separate bowl, mix eggs, buttermilk and shortening.
Add liquid to dry ingredients; mix until moistened. Turn into greased loaf pan (5 1/4 x 9 1/2-inch).
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
Remove from pan immediately.
