Miracle Icing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/3 c. water
    1/8 tsp. salt
    2 unbeaten egg whites
    1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Combine sugar, water and salt in saucepan.
    Bring to a boil over high flame and cook for 3 minutes.
    Place unbeaten egg whites and cream of tartar in small mixer bowl.
    Turn switch to fast and immediately add hot syrup.
    Continue to beat for 5 minutes.
    Add vanilla.
    Frosts a 2-layer cake (generously).
    I frosted a loaf cake and a 2-layer cake.
