Tomato And Bread Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small baguette French bread (about 12 inches long)
    1 clove garlic, mashed
    1/2 c. olive oil
    6 medium tomatoes, chunked
    1/2 onion, chopped (10 to 12 Tbsp.)
    3 Tbsp. chopped fresh basil
    1/4 c. balsamic vinegar
    salad greens
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 300\u00b0.
    Split baguette in half lengthwise.
    Rub one half with garlic on cut side.
    Brush with olive oil.
    Cut garlic side in half again, lengthwise, then into 3/4-inch pieces. Place croutons on cookie sheet, crust side down and bake until golden, 30 minutes or more.
