Aunt Effie'S Chocolate Gravy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    3 to 4 Tbsp. cocoa
    dash of salt
    2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
    2 1/2 c. milk
    1/2 stick margarine
    generous dash of vanilla
Preparation
    Mix dry ingredients thoroughly in a heavy iron skillet or saucepan.
    Add milk and stir until well blended and smooth.
    Cook over low heat, stirring constantly to prevent sticking.
    Remove from heat when thick (not as thick as pudding, but thicker than brown gravy).
    Add margarine and vanilla.
    Serve over hot homemade biscuits, pancakes or toast.
    Refrigerate leftovers.
