Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 sticks butter
    3 c. sugar
    3 tsp. vanilla
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 c. flour
    6 Tbsp. hot water
    5 c. flour
    2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients well.
    Divide into 4 sections.
    Wrap in wax paper and chill overnight.
    Cut into cookies.
    Cook on foil-lined cookie sheet for 15 to 18 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Don't overcook, they are soft cookies.
