Coconut Macaroons - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/4 c. sifted flour
    1/3 tsp. baking soda
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. shortening
    1 c. white sugar
    1 c. brown sugar, packed
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 c. quick cooking oats
    1 c. chopped nuts
    2 c. coconut
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Combine shortening, sugars, beaten eggs and flavoring; blend well.
    Add sifted dry ingredients, rolled oats, nuts and coconut. This is a stiff batter.
    Roll 1 teaspoon dough about the size of a walnut; place on oiled cookie sheet, about 2 inches apart.
    Press slightly with bottom of a glass.
    May be trimmed with gumdrops or colored sugar.
    Bake 12 to 15 minutes at 350\u00b0 until slightly browned.
