Tamale Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. ground beef
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1/4 c. green pepper, chopped
    1 large can broken tomatoes
    1 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. chili powder
    1 box cornbread mix
Preparation
    Brown meat lightly.
    Add onions and green pepper; saute until onions are clear (not browned).
    Drain.
    Add tomatoes, salt and chili powder.
    Pour into a 9 x 13 x 2-inch pan.
    Mix cornbread mix according to directions on the box.
    Pour over top of meat mixture and bake until cornbread is done, 25 to 30 minutes at 400\u00b0.
