Bakery Cake Icing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 1/2 c. confectioners sugar
    1/2 c. vegetable shortening or butter
    2 egg whites, beaten stiff
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. flavoring
Preparation
    Cream half of the sugar with shortening.
    Add egg whites, mixing well.
    Add sugar and flavoring.
    Beat until smooth.
    Store in covered container in refrigerator.
