Lime Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7 lb. cucumbers, sliced
    2 gal. water
    2 c. lime
    2 qt. white vinegar
    1 tsp. whole cloves
    1 tsp. celery salt
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1 tsp. pickling spice
    4 1/2 lb. sugar
Preparation
    Let cucumbers soak 24 hours.
    Wash 3 times and let soak 3 hours.
    Mix
    vinegar and add other ingredients.
    Drain pickles; pour
    on
    vinegar
    mix and let stand overnight.
    Boil 35 minutes. Makes around 10 pints.
    May add green cake coloring, if desired.
