Spinach Dip Or Sandwich Spread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 pkg. frozen chopped spinach
    1 box Knorr vegetable soup mix
    1 c. sour cream
    1 c. Hellmann's mayonnaise
    1 small onion, chopped
    1 can water chestnuts, drained and chopped (use 1/2 can)
    4 to 6 green onions, chopped
Preparation
    Cook spinach according to directions on box and add a small amount of salt.
    Drain spinach and press out all moisture.
    Add vegetable soup mix to spinach.
    Mix all other ingredients and add to spinach, mixing well.
    Cover.
    Place in refrigerator for several hours or overnight.
    Freeze unused amount for later use.
