5 c. sugar
3 c. cider vinegar
1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
1 1/2 tsp. celery seed
2 Tbsp. mustard seed
Preparation

Do not pare cucumbers; slice rather thin.
Add squash, onions, peppers and carrots with the cucumbers.
Pour 1/2 cup salt over the vegetables.
Cover with ice and ice water for 2 hours.
Drain well.
Do not rinse.
