Peanut Butter Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick margarine
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. evaporated milk
    1/2 c. peanut butter
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Melt butter.
    Add sugar, milk and bring to a boil.
    Cook 4 minutes, stirring frequently to prevent scorching.\tRemove from heat and add peanut butter and vanilla.
    Beat until ready to pour. Put in a buttered dish and cut when cooled.
    This recipe works well when doubled and put in a buttered 8 x 8 Pyrex dish.
    Also cooks better in a heavy pan.
