Ingredients

1 can condensed onion soup
2 or 3 slices thick French or Italian bread
1 soup can water
butter
grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation

In a saucepan, combine soup and water.
Simmer a few minutes. Arrange buttered bread on a cookie sheet; sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
Broil until lightly browned.
Pour soup into bowls.
Top each with a portion of the bread.
Makes 2 to 3 servings.
