Fruited Oatmeal Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 egg
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. flour
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped dates or raisins
1/2 c. nuts
Preparation

Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
Spray loaf pan (8 x 4 x 3-inches) with butter or nonstick cooking spray.
In large bowl, combine egg, buttermilk and brown sugar.
Add flour, baking soda and salt, stirring to blend.
Add oats, dates and nuts.
Stir well, turn into pan.
Bake 40 or 45 minutes or until brown and firm to touch. Makes one loaf.
