Oven Simmered Beef Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. boneless stew meat, cut in 1-inch cubes
    1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
    1 (3/4 oz.) pkg. mushroom gravy mix
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1 c. dry red wine
    1/2 c. water
    6 carrots, cut 3/4-inch pieces
    3 medium potatoes, cut in 1-inch cubes
    1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced
Preparation
    Place beef cubes in 3-quart casserole with tight lid.
    In a small bowl combine onion soup, mushroom gravy, pepper, wine and water.
    Pour over meat.
    Cover and bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Remove from oven and add carrots, potatoes and mushrooms.
    Return to oven for 1 1/2 hours or until done.
    Add chopped parsley, if desired.
