Congo Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box brown sugar (light, 1 lb.)
    1 1/2 sticks margarine
    3 eggs
    2 2/3 c. flour (all-purpose)
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 small pkg. chocolate chips
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Melt sugar and margarine together.
    Add 3 beaten eggs.
    Stir. Add flour, baking powder and vanilla.
    Stir.
    Add nuts and chips. Stir.
    Batter will be thick.
    Spread in a greased and floured 11 x 15-inch pan.
    Bake 30 minutes in 350\u00b0 oven.
    Remove promptly and cool 2 hours before cutting in bars.
