Pickled Carrots - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 large carrots or 1 1/2 lb., cut into 2 to 3-inch pieces and cut lengthwise so they are thin slivers
    1/2 c. onions, diced
    1 c. vinegar
    3/4 c. sugar
    2 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. water
    1/4 c. oil
Preparation
    For marinating mixture, mix the ingredients. Pour over carrots and chill for several hours.
