Booze Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. raisins
1 1/2 c. water
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter or margarine
1 egg
1 1/2 c. flour
3/4 c. liquor
1 c. chopped walnuts
1 tsp. vanilla
pinch of salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation

Boil the raisins in 1 1/2 cups water for 20 minutes.
Should be 3/4 cup liquid when done. Separate juice from raisins and cool. Cream the sugar and butter. Add egg and keep on beating. Alternately add flour, spices and liquid until well mixed.
Fold in nuts and raisins.
Bake in a 9-inch square greased pan or 7 x 11-inch pan at 350\u00b0 until done. Frost with plain butter frosting.
