Sponge Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 egg yolks
    1/2 c. cold water
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. sifted flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    6 egg whites
    3/4 tsp. cream of tartar
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 325\u00b0.
    Beat egg yolks until thick and lemon colored.
    Add water; continue beating until very thick.
    Gradually beat in sugar, then vanilla.
    Sift flour 3 times; fold in egg mixture, a little at a time.
    In another bowl, beat egg whites until foamy.
    Add cream of tartar; beat until they form moist, glossy peaks.
    Fold into first mixture, turning bowl gradually. Bake in ungreased tube pan at 325\u00b0 for about 1 hour.
