Sponge Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 eggs
    1 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. sugar
Preparation
    Separate eggs.
    Beat whites for 10 minutes.
    Set aside.
    Add sugar to egg yolks and beat 15 minutes.
    Combine egg yolks with egg whites and beat 2 minutes more.
    Add flour gradually until well blended.
    Add baking powder with 1 tsp. flour while beating mixture slowly.
    Add vanilla and beat only 1 to 2 minutes more. Bake in large round 12- inch pan, lightly greased and floured at 350\u00b0 for 45 - 50
    minutes.
    Do not open oven.
    Do not use tube pan, it's not large enough for this batter.
