Saucy Ham And Potato Bake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. chopped onion
    1/4 c. margarine
    1/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
    1 1/2 c. milk
    2 c. shredded sharp cheese
    1/2 lb. ham, cut into chunks
    6 c. cooked potatoes
Preparation
    Saute onions in margarine.
    Blend in flour and seasonings. Gradually add milk.
    Cook, stirring constantly, until thick.
    Add 1 1/2 cups cheese and stir until melted.
    Toss potatoes in cheese sauce.
    Pour into 2-quart casserole, reserving 1 cup sliced potatoes.
    Arrange ham and remaining potatoes on top of casserole. Top with remaining cheese.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
