Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. shortening
2 c. white sugar
4 eggs, beaten
4 Tbsp. milk
4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. grated orange rind or lemon rind

Preparation

Cream shortening, sugar, grated rind and nutmeg.
Add sugar gradually and cream well.
Add eggs and milk.
Blend well.
Sift flour, baking powder, soda and salt.
Add to creamed mixture. Blend well.
Drop by teaspoon on cookie sheet.
Decorate with colored sugar.
Bake at 350\u00b0 until done.
