Ingredients

3/4 c. light molasses
1/2 c. butter
2 eggs, beaten
4 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1 1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
dash of salt
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. water
Preparation

Bring to a boil and cook only to melt sugar before pouring while hot over cookies, then roll in powdered sugar.
