June'S Turkey Dressing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 to 3 c. broth
    8 Tbsp. butter
    1 c. chopped onion
    3 c. chopped celery
    turkey liver, chopped and seasoned
    1 lb. mushrooms, sliced
    5 c. egg bread
    5 slices white bread
    2 c. peeled and chopped apples
    1 to 2 tsp. sage
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Saute onion and celery in 4 tablespoons butter in a large skillet until clear (do not brown).
    Remove to mixing bowl.
    In same skillet saute mushrooms and liver in 4 tablespoons butter. Add to mixing bowl.
    Add onion and bread seasoning until all combined.
    Pour 2 to 3 cups broth over mixture.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 in covered casserole.
    Uncover last 30 minutes to brown top.
