Beefy Jalapeno Cornbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. plus 1 Tbsp. yellow cornmeal
1 c. milk
2 eggs
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. bacon drippings
1 (17 oz.) can cream-style corn
1 1/2 lb. ground beef or ground turkey
1 large onion
1 (8 oz.) pkg. Cheddar cheese
Preparation

Combine 1 cup cornmeal, milk, egg, salt, bacon drippings and corn in large bowl; mix.
Saute beef and onion; drain.
Sprinkle 1 tablespoon cornmeal in greased, preheated 12-inch iron skillet. Pour half of cornmeal mixture in skillet, then pour meat/onion mixture on top.
Grate Cheddar cheese on top of mixtures.
Pour remaining cornmeal mixture over top.
Bake 50 minutes at 350\u00b0. Crust will brown like cornbread.
