Baked Squash Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. yellow squash
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/2 c. cracker meal or bread crumbs*
    2 eggs, slightly beaten
    1 stick oleo or butter
    1 scant Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Boil cut up squash until tender.
    Drain and mix with all ingredients, using only 1/2 of the butter.
    Pour into a greased 1 1/2-quart baking dish.
    Melt remaining butter.
    Pour over top and sprinkle with crumbs.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for about an hour.
    Serves 8 or 10.
