Refrigerator Strawberry Ice Cream(Makes 3 Quarts) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
    2 c. milk
    3 eggs, slightly beaten
    2 pt. (4 c.) strawberries, hulled and halved
    3 c. heavy cream
Preparation
    Combine 1 cup sugar, salt and flour in saucepan; gradually stir in milk.
    Cook, stirring until mixture thickens and bubbles. Remove from heat.
    Stir half the hot milk mixture into eggs in bowl; stir back into saucepan.
    Cook, stirring constantly, 1 minute; do not boil.
    Pour into large bowl; cool.
