German Dish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. smoked beef sausage
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 medium onion
    1 large apple, peeled, cored and grated
    12 small red potatoes
    1 1/2 c. sauerkraut
Preparation
    Melt butter in large skillet. Add onion; cook until tender. Add apple, brown sugar, potatoes and sauerkraut; mix well. Place sausage on top of sauerkraut mixture. Cover and cook on medium-low heat 30 minutes. Serve hot. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
