Cherry Nut Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. butter or oleo
    6 eggs
    3 c. flour
    2 c. nuts (whole)
    1 lb. powdered sugar
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 (10 oz.) jar maraschino cherries
Preparation
    Combine oleo and sugar; beat well.
    Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
    Beat in vanilla and mix in flour gradually.
    Fold in cherries and nuts.
    Grease and flour 2 loaf pans; pour batter in.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
