Zucchini Patties - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. shredded zucchini
1 1/2 c. Bisquick
1 egg
1 c. shredded cheese
pepper
grated onion

Preparation

Sourdough hotcakes, the main breakfast dish of Alaskan prospectors, differ from other breads or hotcakes because the batter is leavened with yeast starter and soda.
The starter must set 36 hours before it is to be used.
Replenished regularly with flour and water, the starter will last weeks, even years.
Some Alaskans are still using the starter traced back to an original starter brought into the state with the gold rush.
To them the sourdough pot is prized possession.
