Microwave Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. white corn syrup
    1 c. pecans
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    In a 1/2-quart casserole, stir sugar, syrup, pecans and salt, mixing well.
    Microwave on High, 6 to 9 minutes until light brown. Add butter and vanilla and stir well.
    Microwave on High, 1 to 2 minutes more.
    Add baking soda and gently stir until light and foamy.
    Pour into a lightly buttered cookie sheet.
    Let cool 30 minutes to 1 hour.
