Gelatin Heavenly Hash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. (4 servings) Jell-O (any flavor)
    3/4 c. boiling water
    1/2 c. cold water
    ice cubes
    1 c. thawed Cool Whip or sour cream
    1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained
    1 (11 oz.) can mandarin orange sections, drained
    1 c. miniature marshmallows
    1/4 c. chopped walnuts or pecans
Preparation
    Completely dissolve gelatin in boiling water.
    Combine cold water and ice cubes to make 1 1/4 cups.
    Add to gelatin, stirring until slightly thickened.
    Remove any unmelted ice.
    Add whipped topping, blending until smooth.
    Stir in pineapple, mandarin oranges, marshmallows and nuts.
    Pour in a serving bowl or individual dessert dishes.
    Chill until set, about 2 hours. Garnish with additional fruit and mint leaves, if desired.
