Ingredients

2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour, divided
1/2 c.powdered sugar
1 c. butter or margarine
1/2 tsp. baking powder
4 eggs, beaten
2 c. sugar
1/3 c. lemon juice
Preparation

Combine 2 cups flour and powdered sugar.
Cut butter into flour with pastry blender until mixture resembles cornmeal.
Spoon flour mixture into a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
Press into pan evenly and firmly using fingertips.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes or until lightly browned.
Combine 1/2 cup flour and baking powder and set aside.
Combine eggs, sugar and lemon juice; beat well.
Stir dry ingredients into egg mixture and pour into baked crust.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes or until lightly browned and set.
Spread top immediately with Lemon Frosting.
