Ingredients

3/4 c. Crisco (butter flavored)
1/4 c. brown sugar
2 Tbsp. milk
1 Tbsp. vanilla
1 egg
1 3/4 c. plain flour
1 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 c. pecan pieces (optional)
Preparation

Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
Combine Crisco, brown sugar, milk and vanilla in large bowl.
Beat at medium speed until creamy.
Beat egg into creamy mixture.
Combine flour, salt and baking soda; blend into creamed mixture.
Stir in chocolate chips and pecans. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls, about 3 inches apart, onto ungreased baking sheet.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes for chewy cookies, or 11 to 13 minutes for crisp cookies.
Cool about 1 minute and put on foil.
Yields about 2 1/2 dozen cookies.
