Chicken Ala King - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. finely chopped onion
    1/4 c. chopped green pepper
    1/3 c. butter or oleo
    1/3 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. chicken broth
    1 1/2 c. light cream
    1/2 tsp. paprika
    dash of cayenne pepper
    2 slightly beaten egg yolks
    4 c. diced, cooked chicken or turkey
    1/4 c. dry sherry
    1 (6 oz.) can sliced mushrooms
Preparation
    Saute onion and green
    pepper
    in
    butter or oleo until tender, but not brown.
    Blend
    in
    flour
    and
    salt.
    Stir
    in chicken broth, cream, paprika
    and
    cayenne
    pepper.
    Cook and stir until sauce thickens
    and
    bubbles.
    Stir small amount of hot mixture into egg yolks,
    return
    to hot mixture.
    Cook and stir over low heat about 1 minute.
    Stir in chicken or turkey, sherry and mushrooms (drained).
    Cook until thoroughly heated. If a deeper color is desired, add
    a
    dash
    or two of turmeric powder. Serve in patty shells or
    over
    toast points or toast cups.
