Mexican Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. yellow cornmeal
    2 eggs, well beaten
    1 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 (No. 303) can cream-style yellow corn
    1/2 c. bacon drippings
    1/2 lb. ground meat
    1 large onion, finely chopped
    1 lb. round cheese, grated
    4 jalapeno peppers
Preparation
    Mix first 7 of the ingredients and set aside.
    Milk will be sweet even though soda is used.
    Saute ground meat.
    Put on absorbent paper towel to drain grease.
    The next 3 ingredients are prepared and placed in separate mounds and ready to use:
    onion, round cheese and jalapeno peppers.
