Ingredients

1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 tsp. salt
3 eggs
3/4 c. sugar
2 c. rolled oats
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Melt chocolate chips, shortening and salt in double boiler over hot water.
Beat eggs until thickened.
Gradually add sugar until golden color.
Mix in rolled oats and vanilla.
Mix well. Let mix cool completely.
Drop by teaspoonful onto ungreased cookie tin.
Bake in 350\u00b0 oven until the cookies appear dry.
Do not overbake.
