Self-Filled Cupcakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 devil's food cake mix
    8 oz. cream cheese
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 egg
    dash of salt
    1 c. chocolate chips (optional)
Preparation
    Prepare cake mix according to package directions.
    Fill cupcake papers 1/2 full; set aside.
    In separate bowl, mix the cream cheese, sugar, egg, salt and chocolate chips.
    Beat this mixture and put 1 teaspoon on top of uncooked cake batter.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 until done.
    Top with cream cheese icing, if desired.
