Stuffed Green Peppers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 large green peppers
    1 c. boiling salted water
    1 (8 oz.) tomato sauce
    1/2 lb. ground beef
    1 c. cracker crumbs
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 Tbsp. chopped onion
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Cut a thin slice from the stem end of each pepper.
    Wash outside and inside.
    Remove all seed and membranes. Cook peppers in boiling salted water 5 minutes.
    Drain.
    Mix rest of ingredients.
    Stuff peppers lightly with meat mixture.
    Stand upright in small baking dish.
    Bake covered 45 minutes.
    Uncover and bake 15 minutes longer.
    I top with a slice of cheese after baking.
