Turtle Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box German chocolate cake mix
    3/4 c. melted butter
    1 pkg. caramels
    1/2 c. milk (evaporated)
    1 c. chopped pecans
    6 oz. chocolate chips
Preparation
    Mix cake as directed on package and add butter.
    Pour 1/2 of batter into greased 9 x 11-inch cake pan.
    Bake 15 minutes.
    Melt caramels and milk together.
    Spoon caramel mixture over cake top. Sprinkle with pecans and chocolate chips.
    Pour remaining batter overall and bake 20 minutes longer.
