Oatmeal Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. cocoa (bitter)
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. peanut butter
pinch of salt
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. quick oats

Preparation

Stir the first 4 ingredients and bring to boil for about 1 minute.
Remove from heat.
Add the peanut butter, salt, vanilla and quick oats.
Drop onto waxed paper by spoonfuls.
