Rum Coffee Strips(Easy Refrigerator Cookies) - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. flour
2 Tbsp. instant coffee
1/8 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. shortening
3 1/3 c. butter
1/3 c. sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 tsp. rum extract

Preparation

Sift dry ingredients.
Cream the butter and shortening until fluffy.
Add eggs and flavoring; beat well.
Stir in dry ingredients; blend.
Shape into 2 flat rectangles and chill overnight after wrapping in wax paper.
