American Chop Suey - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. long grain rice
    1 c. chopped celery
    1 c. chopped green pepper
    1 c. chopped onions
    2 small cans chopped mushrooms
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1 can water
    2 (No. 2) cans tomatoes (4 c.), chopped
    1 large bay leaf (remove before serving)
    2 lb. ground chuck
Preparation
    Cook and scramble ground chuck until changes color.
    Add to remaining ingredients.
    Cover and cook very slowly for 1 hour.
