Peanut Butter Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1/4 c. corn syrup
    1 c. peanut butter
    1/2 c. milk
    1/4 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    1/2 stick margarine
Preparation
    Mix sugar, corn syrup and milk; cook on stove until thermometer reaches 236\u00b0 (soft-ball stage).
    Remove from heat. Add margarine; cool syrup until lukewarm (110\u00b0).
    Add vanilla, peanut butter and nuts.
    Beat until candy begins to thicken and loses its high gloss.
    Turn immediately into a buttered 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan.
    When cool, cut into squares.
