Frozen Fruit Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (8 oz.) jar maraschino cherries
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
    1/2 c. mayonnaise
    1 (8 oz.) Cool Whip, thawed
    1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained
    1/2 to 1 c. chopped pecans (optional)
    1 c. seedless green grapes (optional)
Preparation
    Drain cherries and reserve the juice.
    Blend softened cream cheese and mayonnaise with mixer.
    Slowly add juice reserved from cherries.
    When blended, fold in Cool Whip.
    Cut cherries in halves and add to mixture.
    Add pineapple, nuts and grapes.
    Pour into a 9 x 13 x 2-inch pan.
    Place in freezer at least 3 hours. Remove 15 minutes before serving.
    Cut into squares and serve on lettuce.
    Yield: 10 to 12 servings.
