Buttermilk Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. soda, mixed in buttermilk
    2 Tbsp. white Karo
    1/2 stick butter
    1 c. nuts
Preparation
    Put all ingredients in large skillet and stir while cooking. Cook to soft-ball stage and set off the stove to cool 5 to 10 minutes.
    Beat with mixer until thick.
    Add nuts and drop by teaspoonfuls on wax paper.
